If I could offer a suggestion… You need to seriously step up the pace of the releases. The books are pretty good for light reading, IMHO (especially for a new author) – the characters are “compelling”, the twist on the familiar vampire trope is interesting enough, the writing itself is well done. there is definitely an audience out there for this series that can be found. but – 16 months between releases is awfully long, if you want to keep the readers engaged.
Now, as someone who has written exactly zero books :), i am well aware that it’s a lot easier to give advice than to actually do it, but… that’s my unsolicited advice – if you really want to make it as an indie writer, a book every 3-4 months is more like the release pace you need. otherwise, the audience drifts away…
